Search & Rescue
Gas Data are hugely proud to be able to produce equipment that aids search and rescue efforts. When the worst happens and buildings collapse, people become trapped and rescue teams need to rely on more than their sense of sight.
People in confined spaces cause the levels of carbon dioxide in the air to rise slightly and Gas Data products detect those small changes. In circumstances where physical exploration is impossible, Gas Data products detect the elevated levels of carbon dioxide which may indicate the presence of people needing to be rescued.
Initially designed to prove the presence of stowaways, Gas Data’s GFM 226 can also be deployed in search & rescue operations. It is configured solely to detect alterations in the levels of carbon dioxide and oxygen which is a result of people breathing.
