Severn Trent Water’s maintenance package
Severn Trent Water (STW) is recognised as a world leader in the waste water industry, particularly for their cutting edge biogas generation. Maintaining this reputation – and ensuring the effectiveness of the company’s processes and plants – relies on proper and continuous data analysis.
For over a decade, Gas Data has supplied Severn Trent Water with fixed system gas analysers and portable GFM units, powering the company’s gas analysis and monitoring.
As part of this deep and long-term partnership, Severn Trent Water maintains a fleet of twenty-eight Click! Systems and over thirty GFMs. Our engineers proactively visit STW’s sites to maintain the analysers – and our online monitoring constantly tracks readings from each site, 24/7.
This means we can quickly identify any issues on Severn Trent’s behalf, instantly and at first remotely. We then proactively investigate the issue and, if necessary, our engineers will be on-site to fix the problem promptly, often before the company’s own engineers are aware of the fault!
This has been a fruitful and effective partnership, but at Gas Data we are also striving for improvement. In 2019, then, we completed a fleet-wide rejuvenation project for Severn Trent, replacing their older fixed-system gas analysers with our latest state-of-the-art Click! System technology.
This project also involved improving our Data Portal to offer new, client-specific, features. These allow Severn Trent to remotely view the readings from any of their analysers using a web browser, as well as providing the functionality to access more service-critical information, such as trends over time, within their analysis.
Our ongoing relationship with Severn Trent is one we are very proud of – and one that has proved productive for the company over ten years. We are already developing new products and services to power the next decade!
